Bought this set for the buffing brush, at the time of purchase I was not sure what I would use others for. Its been almost two years and I have found that my favorite brush from this set is the contour brush, I use to apply my benefit hoola bronzer (would buy set again to have a second one of these). I found that the foundation brush is good for setting concealer with powder under my eyes versus applying foundations, its a small brush. Buffing brush I sometimes use to apply blush and the last brush I use to apply concealer or eyesshadow ( dont use these two as often or at all). Whats great about this line of brushes is that they are multi-purposeful.

Wow. These are great brushes. They apply makeup like a dream. I can't believe I almost didn't buy them. I read a review somewhere that said they were heavy. In my experience they are not. They are very easy to work with. I have washed them and didn't notice any shedding.

I've always watched Sam's and Nic's videos on Youtube, but never had given Sam's brushes a try -- until recently. And I absolutely love them! I ordered the Core Collection set, the blush brush, fine liner brush, expert face brush, the starter kit with eye brushes, and I love every single one of them. Why pay a lot of money when you can achieve the same, if not better, looks with these brushes? These are all multi-tasking brushes and are very soft, so let me tell you how I use them: the contour brush: sets my concealer under my eyes, highlights bridge of nose, cheek bones, and of course, countour my cheeks with bronzer; the buffing brush: I buff out any harsh blush or contour lines on my cheeks, use for liquid or powder foundation, although I prefer to use it for my mineral powder foundation by Bare Minerals (works amazing buffing foundation in clockwise, then counterclockwise for an airbrushed look); the small tapered foundation brush: I do not use to put foundation on my face because I feel like it is too small for that purpose and would take a lot of time, but I love using it to also put highlighter on my cheeks, setting my concealer, etc. The small tapered eyeliner brush works well to smudge out eyeliner for a smokey look or just to add a pop of color with eyeshadow (or black/brown shadow) on upper or lower lashline for a softer look. One more thing I use this eyeliner brush is to really define the crease. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and have purchased almost all of Sam's brushes because they work so well. Yeah, they're a little bulky, but that will not take away from the results they give me. I got other people hooked on these brushes. A must-have!
